Application Specialist (Student Applications) - HigherEdJobs

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Application Specialist's primary responsibility is to support Charter College's student applications.

The Application Specialist will work closely with the IT leadership and business management to assist with the development of cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the company. This person will also verify that IT policies and procedures are being met and followed. Other duties as assigned.

Prospect Education is head quartered in the Reno/Tahoe, Nevada area with campus operations, doing business as Charter College, in California, Washington, and Alaska.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install, test, document, license, support and update student applications and other business applications as assigned.
  • Assist the Education Department with requirements gathering and the selection of student software.
  • Provide user training for assigned applications.
  • Travel Requirements: less than 10%
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Technology
OR
  • Associates Degree in Technology plus a minimum of two (2) years of experience in installing, documenting, supporting and updating 3rd party software applications
OR
  • High School Diploma / GED or equivalent plus a minimum of four (4) years of experience in installing, documenting, supporting and updating 3rd party software applications
  • Must be detail orientated
  • Strong documentation skills required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
  • Ability to travel as required and work overtime and off-hours when required to meet business needs. Expected overnight travel <10%.
COMPENSATION
  • Compensation dependent on experience, knowledge and education level.
  • Hourly Non-Exempt
  • $22/hr. - $26/hr.
  • Performance Bonus 5%
